We had a fun and eventful Easter weekend. The Friday before Easter we did an Easter egg hunt and potluck with a bunch of our friends at a nearby park. Kathryn loved finding the eggs.

She loved eating the candy inside even more...

The Easter Bunny brought us some nice treats on Sunday...

Both sets of grandparents made Kathryn's Easter loot a lot more fun and exciting.

Easter weekend we also really enjoyed watching general conference-a 2-day conference held by our church every six months in Salt Lake City, UT and broadcast via satellite, tv, and the internet all over the world. It was great to hear from church leaders and was very uplifting and inspirational. Our new friends Anna, Brandon, and their son Aidan came over on Sunday for lunch and the second session of conference. It was fun to have them over and talk more about what was said in conference. When they were about to leave, Kathryn had a big run-in (literally) with the corner of our kitchen wall. Amazingly it didn't really bleed, but left her with a huge bump on her forehead that was almost as big as an Easter egg.

Even though it didn't bleed, this was the biggest "owie" she's gotten yet and we both felt like crying right along with her. She's a tough girl though, and was back smiling minutes later...

Above all on Easter, it was great to take the time to reflect on the reason we celebrate it-the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are thankful for our Savior, for the sacrifice He made for us, and for the knowledge we have that because He was resurrected, we too will be resurrected one day. We hope you all had a nice Easter as well.
