Sorry it's been so long. I've been wanting to post some more pictures for so long and now I've finally learned how to do it all, so here we go :)
Kathryn has been working on smiling and it is so cute. Here are some of the pictures we've gotten of her smile or at least what looks somewhat like one...
And my favorite...
And, here are some more cute pictures...
And here are just some silly pictures...
Watch out, she's tough!
Gotta start her loyalties to Brazil while she's young...
Now, in case you haven't seen enough, here's just a couple more...
My sister Sherene came to visit for several days and we took Kathryn for her first walk. It was fun and I think she liked it despite the look on her face in the picture. My parents passed through about 2 weeks ago and it was fun to have them here again and for them to see how Kathryn has grown.
Our little daughter was born last Saturday, the 6th of September, around 7:00 PM. She was 7 pounds 1 ounce and 19.5 inches long. Mom and Baby are healthy and we are so excited to have her as an addition to our family.
Her full name is Kathryn Bela Smith. For those of you who don't know, Kathryn is also my mother's name. We really like the nickname Kat and plan to use both Kat and Kathryn interchangeable, so feel free to call her either. I have to give a shout out to the original Cat back in Utah -our friend Lindsay's little girl Catalina (I think that is how it is spelled). She was the cutest little baby girl I had ever seen and only just recently took second place on the list =). Thanks Lindsay for letting us use it too. Her middle name, Bela, is pronounced "bay-la" and is Portuguese for beautiful. Emily served her mission in Brazil and my dad, sister, and brother-in-law did as well. I also took Portuguese classes at BYU, so Brazil has a special place in our hearts. Hopefully Bill will take us there this summer on some of his air miles=).
Well enough blabbering, here are some pics. I imagine most of you looked at them first anyway =).
